Managing auth tokens

Create and delete auth tokens for the Subframe CLI.

Auth tokens let the Subframe CLI access your account and team.

Creating a token

If you connect an AI coding tool through the Subframe MCP server, authentication creates a token for you.

To create one yourself, go to app.subframe.com/cli/auth ↗ or:

1. Open your account menu and select Tokens
2. Click New token
3. Copy the Auth token from the dialog

The dialog also shows the Project ID to use with the CLI. If you have more than one project, select the project first.

Tokens are shown once. Store them somewhere secure.

Any team member can create a token. Viewers get read-only CLI access—they can sync components but cannot push changes back to Subframe.

Deleting a token

1. Open your account menu and select Tokens
2. Click … beside the token
3. Select Delete…
4. Confirm the deletion
