Version history lets you restore all changes for your entire project – from page designs, to component edits, to theme changes. Subframe automatically saves versions of your work as you make changes. You can restore previous versions at the project-level, or for individual pages, components, or theme.

Project version history

Use project-level version history when you need to roll back multiple changes at once.
  1. Click the project switcher in the top left navigation
  2. Select Show version history
  3. Select the version timestamp from the dropdown in the banner at the top
  4. Click Restore to revert to that version.

Page, component, and theme version history

  1. Open a page, component, or theme in the editor
  2. Click the clock icon in the toolbar
  3. Select a version from the timeline to preview it
  4. Click Restore to revert to that version.

Restoring versions

When you restore a version, all changes are restored across your project, including:
  • Page designs
  • Component edits
  • Theme changes
  • All other project modifications

Version retention

Version history retention varies by plan:
  • Free plan: 24-hour history
  • Pro plan: 7-day history
  • Custom plans: Longer version history available
